Job description

PRONOVIAS GROUP, a global leader in the bridal industry, is seeking a professional and talented Fabrics Manager to join our Barcelona headquarters.

Main objectives:

Direction and strategy of the fabrics and trimmings department of Pronovias Bridal and OW.
Sourcing and development of new fabrics according to Design and Mood Boards needs.
Analysis of trends and definition of the strategy for new materials and trims.
Technical support to the Design team during the development of the collection, advising on qualities and suppliers.
Sample Tracking
Creation of new business strategies through the nomination and consolidation of fabrics to strengthen costs and quality standards.
Definition of the program of basic subjects to guarantee margin objectives.
Implementation of regulations, approvals, quality control procedures to ensure that all selected materials meet established standards.
Implementation and consolidation of the entire process from the search, development and production of materials.
Implementation and consolidation of the sustainability strategy.
Negotiation of costs and leadtimes of all materials, to consolidate the objectives.
Stock management and control to guarantee the material supply strategy.
Management and consolidation of the supplier portfolio
Attendance at International Fairs.
Resolution of incidents during the sampling and production process.
Visit to the original fabric factories to strengthen productions.

Requirements

Training in textile engineering or similar
At least 8-10+ years of experience developing similar functions in an international environment, especially China.
Strong contacts with mills across EU or Asia is also a plus.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, requests, and projects.
Hands on profile. This role will initially be a team of two, as we are just building the R&D organization.
Attention to detail, as the role requires a certain degree of admin work.
Good communication and ability to influence stakeholders decisions at every level.
English is a must, Spanish and/or other languages are a plus.
Effective business partnering skills and excellent judgment with a demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and drive different initiatives.
