Job description

 

We at PRONOVIAS GROUP, are currently looking for a Finance Controlling Director to join our Finance team in our HQ in Barcelona.

As Finance Controlling Director for Pronovias Group, you will be responsible for leading and shaping the company's financial control function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial health of the Group and contributing to its sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial reporting: Oversee the entire financial reporting process, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial statements according to IFRS and local regulations.
  • Financial planning and analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and forecasts, providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making across the Group.
  • Lead and manage: Build and lead the controlling finance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  • Performance management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and measure progress against strategic goals.
  • Internal controls: Design and oversee a robust system of internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with regulations.
  • Risk management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, developing and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Project management: Lead and manage key financial control projects, ensuring successful implementation and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business unit leaders, senior management, and external auditors.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification highly desirable.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within the fashion or retail industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, financial modeling expertise, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to lead and motivate a team, and proven track record of success in implementing financial control initiatives.
  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Personal qualities: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, integrity, decisiveness, and excellent interpersonal skills.
